JULIANA OSSA

Juliana is an anthropologist, with master's degrees in Liberal Studies from the New School for Social Research in New York and in Theology from Harvard Divinity School. Thirteen years ago, she began practicing yoga and in 2023 completed a 200-hour training as a vinyasa power yoga instructor, based on Ashtanga yoga. Through yoga, she has cultivated discipline, well-being, and self-awareness. Juliana lived in North America for 16 years. In 2023, she returned to Colombia with the dream of merging her love for Colombia's magical landscapes with the opportunity to facilitate transformative spaces for yoga enthusiasts.

Juliana is in charge of external communications at Capibara Retreats and serves as the bridge between our international clients and the rest of our team.

CAMILA HERNÁNDEZ

VALERIA SERNA

Valeria is a cultural manager and a dancer. She holds a bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Media Arts from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, and she pursued photography for a year at the International Center of Photography in New York. Additionally, she earned a master's degree in Cultural Management from the International University of Catalonia in Barcelona.

She has been involved in the production of numerous cultural festivals. Presently, she holds the position of corporate event coordinator at the largest event promoter in Latin America. During her leisure time, she has immersed herself in contemporary and urban dance for over two decades. Within CAPIBARA, she serves as the administrative director and is responsible for crafting advertising materials.

Camila has been a yoga teacher and practitioner for over 12 years. Her first yoga experience was at Yogastudio Usaquén with Rodrigo Pelaez when she was fourteen years old. Later, she studied with different teachers in Mexico such as Baptiste Marceau and Eduardo Mateo, who helped her to get deep into the practice of Ashtanga yoga. Upon returning to Bogota in 2014, Camila delved into the practice of Dharma Mittra alongside Zara Kravitz and Diego Bernal. She has been a teacher at Yogastudio Bogota, Yogavida Cali, Happyyoga Cali, and Shyam Ashram, among others. From 2016 to 2023, she lived in Cali where she completed the 500 hours teacher training with Andrei Ram, Sheyna Vodovoz, and Cristina Villamil.

Currently residing in Bogotá, she teaches at Om Kutir Yoga and also conducts workshops, retreats, personalized, and corporate classes, helping individuals deepen their connection with themselves. Within Capibara Retreats, Camila oversees all operational areas, particularly in food and service, ensuring they function flawlessly.
